Welcome to Nutrition Services!
![]() Hey students, parents and teachers; let us introduce you to our National School Lunch & Breakfast Program! Your school's kitchen is part of the Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency (SCVSFSA). SCVSFSA is a non-profit public school entity created by our member school districts to provide inexpensive and nutritionally sound school breakfast and lunch to students in Santa Clarita. Our member school districts are: Castaic USD, Newhall School District, Saugus USD, & Sulphur Springs USD The Agency's Governing Board Members are: Marcia Dains (Castaic USD), Ronna Wolcott (Newhall SD), Christine Hamlin (Saugus USD) & Lynn David (Sulphur Springs USD). (Board Policies, Administration Regulations and Bylaws) “Through the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act championed by the First Lady and signed by President Obama, USDA is making the first major changes in school meals in 15 years, which should help to raise a healthier generation of children. The new standards align school meals with the latest nutrition science and the real world circumstances of America’s schools. These reforms try to do what’s right for children’s health in a way that may be achievable in schools across the Nation. School meals are important! And the school day just got healthier. School meals have more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; nonfat/low-fat milk; and less salty and fatty foods. School meals now do a better job of giving your kids the healthy foods they need. Students are now REQUIRED to take a fruit or vegetable at lunch, along with at least two other components (Protein, Grain, Milk). You can help make them be successful by reinforcing the importance of eating fruits and vegetables at mealtime.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines and our school's local Wellness Policies. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students. The School Day Just Got Healthier. Together we can help our kids learn healthy habits that last forever.
SCVSFSA is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits as an important lifeskill. SCVSFSA serves over 11,500 lunches & 4,000 breakfasts daily at 38 school sites.
You can now make secure online payments to your child's account using PayForIt.net! You will need the STUDENT ID# when registering. You may request it by clicking here.
