Welcome to Nutrition Services!

Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services was created by our school districts to provide nutritious meals to students in our valley. Our school districts are: Castaic USD, Newhall SD, Saugus USD, & Sulphur Springs USD.

School Food Services Governing Board Members are: Deoram Persaud, Newhall SD; Dr. Isa DeArmas, Saugus USD; Linette Hodson, Castaic USD;  & Gretchen Bergstrom, Sulphur Springs USD. (Board Policies, Administration Regulations and Bylaws)

Our delicious meals provide protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nonfat/low-fat milk; and less salty and fatty foods.

Students are REQUIRED to take a fruit or vegetable, along with at least two other components (Protein, Grain, Milk). You can help them be successful by reinforcing the importance of eating fruits and vegetables at mealtimes.

Foods and beverages served at schools meet state and federal requirements, and our district Wellness Policies. Students have access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs.

We are a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits as an important lifeskill.  We serve over 11,500 lunches & 4,000 breakfasts daily at 38 school sites.
